Well I have been out of school for almost 2 months now. This is my first year teaching traditional and having a three month break. It has been hard to stay busy and I am excited to go back and meet my new kids for the year. I already have my class list and I have 4 kids that are younger siblings of students I have already had. That make me even more excited because I know how wonderful these families are!!
I loved Alli Mauzey as Glinda the Good Witch! She was SO funny and played up the ditzy roll amazingly. I also loved Nicole Parker who was Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West. She had an amazing voice (like the rest of the cast) but I loved how she was sarcastic and loving at the same time. I loved it so much that after we went on opening night I wanted to buy tickets and go again. I guess I will have to wait until we can make it to New York and see it on Broadway.
The next day I got to join the girls in my ward at girl's camp. As you can see from the picture we have a group of AMAZING girls! I count myself very lucky to be apart of this group and get to know all of these amazing young women. I also LOVE the other leaders. They are amazing! We were able to go hiking up to a natural spring waterfall, compete in The Cookie Dash, talk, make paracord bracelets, and have many spiritual experiences together.
On July 4th and July 24th Mike and I got to go over to my brothers house with my side of the family and go swimming, eat, and light fireworks. I love how the older nieces and nephews still play with the younger ones. These pictures from when we were setting off fireworks.
Lobo is everyones favorite dog. He is pretty cute I have to admit.
I firework shooting into the air. I had a really long shutter speed.
I got a better picture of Mike but I just loved his face in this one. Look at those BLUE eyes. He is so handsome:)
